Oh, as we were leaving my daughter-in-law's sister Shannon was sitting at a table and we stopped to talk to her and freak her out...she didn't have a clue who we were until we told her !!{even then she obviously wondered !}..they did activate security who stopped our bag lady .. then they weren't all worried after she explained Waldo games and church group activities to them !!

election day

This morning dadu and I tracked grandma M's ballet being sent express mail from Utah ...When it got to Chino dadu went in the back door of our post office and got it for me so I could take it to the closest LA county poll place and turn it in....I could not stay home and wait to sign for it whenever the mailman got here because I agreed to be a poll watcher today...and in between marking off who had voted on my list and passing that info on to the poll watcher base I was hanging door hangers for those who hadn't voted until it got dark and then was calling those who hadn't voted................while I was in my assigned precinct doing my checking lots of people came in and wanted to know the closest LA polling place....and just imagine that.... I was the official director for them since I knew from dropping off gma's there at 8:30 this morning.! Wiggins say HI to I and A !!!! They were so excited to hear about you two !!
tomorrow I am goofing off.

Sign of the Times: The New Homeless

The troubles with the economy have struck even the rich and famous.
The pictures below show you how bad our economy has fallen and probably indicate that it isn't going to improve in the near future regardless of who is elected president.

Even though she's headed for cover because they are forecasting rain., she's still got a smile on her face!

gender

Genesis 2:24
Therefore shall a man leave his father and his mother, and shall cleave unto his wife: and they shall be one flesh.
St. Matthew 19:4,5,6
And he answered and said unto them, Have ye not read, that he which made them at the beginning made them male and female,
And said, for this cause shall a man leave father and mother, and shall cleave to his wife: and they twain shall be one flesh?
Wherefore they are no more twain, but one flesh. What therefore God hath joined together, let not man put asunder.

November 1 - Yes on Prop 8!

Today we started at about a quarter to 8 and spent the morning going through the precinct lists we had been given, hanging reminders to Vote and Vote Yes on Proposition 8. The lists were prepared from telephone calls that identified those who are in favor of Prop 8. These unfortunately were not in 'delivery' order, So we had to back track several times, and there are still two gated apartment complexes we were not able to enter. We finished this at about 11:30 am. Today was also the band review at Chino High School and so streets were blocked and this was the area we were working. That took most of the morning. Then we came home, ate something quick (leftovers), and then headed off to The Shoppes in Chino Hills for a Yes on 8 Rally. There were about 500 of us covering all of the street corners. Signs waving, chanting Yes on 8, Protect Marriage Now, etc. Cars and trucks driving by, honking their horns. Our legs are tired, our ears are sore, we're a little dehydrated, and had too much exhaust fumes but we spent an hour and a half waving signs and chanting. Got home at about 3:00 pm. Someone had stolen our Yes on 8 sign from the front yard. So we planted the one Mom was waving at the rally. Still have chores to do. Stake Conference meeting tonight at 7:00 pm. We are feeling our age (but I could still deliver mail if that was my job). Only pictures are on Mom's cell phone and she doesn't know how to get them out.
