I forgot that I did take some photos at the latest family dinner at N's August 17th

Of course we forgot the camera so when we got home at midnight we took a picture of ourselves with the ad and playbill of Wicked......IT WAS AWESOME !!!!! The storyline is GREAT...the costumes could not have been better...the stage stuff was SOOOOOOOOOOO cool...the director did such a good job of getting them to time their lines soo effectively !!! Galinda was such a great ditsy blond !!! The whole thing had so much social and political truth in it that it was almost scary !!! NOW ....about the whole Hollywood and Vine thing and the stars on the walks of all the
famous people...SLEASY....unkempt...Lousy neighborhood...The Pantages itself has been renovated and is awesome...and Carol Channing's star is directly in front of the middle of the Pantages...some of the stars are cracked and chipped bigtime..lots are under construction stuff..literally.....RATHER disappointing neighborhood...you would not want to be there without a huge crowd like we were !!! ...........oh ya, it was fun running into Cathy and Tiffany Davis in the Pantages !!! Anyway...thanks for the fun date...it was the whole FIVE stars date...because we went to Phillippes for beef dip sandwiches before the play too !!! SO THANKS EVERYBODY FOR AN AWESOME TIME !!!

Wicked!

Last night we went to see Wicked at the Pantages. It has been a couple of years since I last saw a musical on stage. This was an exciting musical, and though I had listened to the CD many times it was so much better to see it in person. A great big thank you to my wife and children for getting me the tickets for Father's Day. I am not finding that a lot of the new musicals are quite like those I grew up seeing but every now and then one really gives me the same rush as the Rodgers and Hammerstein's musical. I thoroughly enjoyed Wicked!

A Place of Her Own

Here is the print that Namma got at Education Week.

BYU education week

Hello from home after a week of travel and major space invasion !!! I like to go to BYU education week and all ; but the classes are so packed and people are right there.....like on an airplane...the seating is so close you can't move an inch..........but we sure learned a lot of interesting things and the spirit is so strong there you can almost cut it !! Bill met a cousin he knew nothing about{ however many times removed} when her husband read his name tag in the bookstore after the art unveiling's. .{.there were about 15 pictures unveiled}......and I ran into my cousin O.K. walking past the library !! It is exciting when that happens...

N and A let us stay in their house and fed us great meals that A made ...what nice adult kids...and we got to interact with those 4 grand kids!! We visited daughter A and J and grandaughter M yesterday in South Ogden ...we got to visit with J's father who came out with his truck to go to Heber with J to pick up A and J's washer and dryer that have been there a few years..Ab fed us a gourmet lunch !!!...then we visited our son S,and A, and grand children M and J in Midvale...and got to visit my bother G and his wife C in Provo on our way out...{we got to see niece C earlier that week with them.}....and they gave us the BEST snacks !!! We didn't even know we wanted any...they were awesome !! I did get to see my sister R and kids and husband that week too !!! It just all proved it is all about Love and Family and The Spirit and continuing learning with some good food thrown in !!...not the hokey pokey !! I took my camera but forgot to use it all week !!! Maybe I will take a photo of my James Christiansen poster he signed for me there after the unveiling and put that on here...it was the theme poster for education week this year.

Namma got to stay home while Dampa went to Sacramento to audit OSHA Recordkeeping accuracy, plus a side trip to Oakland for a safety meeting. It was hot in Sacramento but not as hot as in Chino. Most of the fire excitement had died down in the Sacramento area. Dampa got to play with L and D when he visited M and S.
