Free GPS

Last night as we are driving to dinner for our date it dawns on me that I have had GPS in my car for years. It's Grandma in the Passenger Seat!

Happy Feb. 21st to you !! I just finished getting everything ready for Hawaiian haystacks for dinner...The bishop, his wife and teenage son are coming over for dinner in an hour ................our bravery for February at our house !! They feel like fish out of water too though I get the feeling !! This week I played the biopsy game on two places on my face again , got a tetnus shot and had an ultra sound done on my neck..so fun????? It has been raining off and all all weekend..we are growing the best crop of weeds !!!! I have found a whole row of big rocks along the sidewalk in the front yard as I unbury the sidewalk about 2 to 3 feet to the edge of my yard !! Slowly but surely I am taming the jungle !! As we pulled weeds yesterday we commented on wishing we had kids to pay by the bucketful to do it like we used to !! We miss you family !!!

My temple re-opened Tuesday, so, yesterday I camped out and did 3 sessions..it is a short month and I need to get my 8 in !! This morning I was filling the 4 green waste trash cans for trash day tomorrow and I discovered 2 really nice good size rocks on the front corner !! My back had enough fun today..I filled about 8 or 10 basket fulls of dirt from off the front sidewalk and hauled it back up the hill and dumped it in hollow spots. My neighbors are happy that I am slowly de -jungling the yard. Now I am going to do some sewing....Oh, ya, last night I had a birthday dinner party at Lisa K.'s house...my companions birthday is the 9th and mine is the 8th of Feb. so, she made us dinner and gave us note cards and candy.!! This ward's visiting teaching seems to be all about eating more often than not. !!!

This is my new-yarn bound carpet from Amy's mom..I laid it like a rug in my bedroom on slip proof rug pads..no more echo in there !!!!!!! yay !!

The other night I watched a great documentary on conjoined twins in a small town in Minnesota..Abigail and Brittany..they just turned 16 and each got her driver'

s license..they have the best attitude ever and are awesome !!! They have been raised like any other kids . They each have their own head, neck, heart ,lungs and small intestines..and share everything else..each controls the arm and leg on her side . They have had the same doctor their whole lives and have been incredibly healthy.

These are in my back yard...I have some kind of bulbs coming up in the front yard too..really nice !!

carpet

Today I am trying to figure out a piece of carpet Amy's mom so kindly had a friend's son bring down to me. In my projects dadu just says good luck and allows me to get what I need..in this case under padding and something to bind the edges because I can't secure it down..so it will be a bedroom size rug. It is quite nice and plushish and a light tan with sculptural things in it....I am trying to figure out how to make the lines straight..probably like a plumb line as the backing lines are not straight. Dadu is out of town for the week.
