back from Utah

Yesterday we flew back from Utah and dropped dadu off at work on the way home from the airport about 9:25 a.m.
We were in Utah because Nathan's ward was getting a new bishopric and he is the second counselor..that is why the ordination was done at such a young age. It was a choice experience.
It was FUN having my nephew Royal come over for dinner Sunday evening at Nathan's house. He is very pleasant, entertaining and tolerant !!
It was a GREAT weekend...sorry I had to ditch our ward's primary activity Saturday and my sunbeam class Sunday at such short notice ...but these things are so important to support.

awesome wedding saturday

We were at the best party last night..a wedding reception ..dinner and dancing at a nice yard in our ward....huge nice yard...the dance floor was installed in the tennis court..the Awesome cake was on the nice huge deck [which the owner just personally replaced and about cut off his finger doing it ] by the pool...they put in artificial grass and nice stones around the house so the line flowed around the house with the food on the back patio, under part of the side deck and the tables on the back artificial grass. A live band was also on part of the tennis court..it is the owner's band [he is a dentist] He and his wife are both big time musicians also. It was soooo fun..[I was help and kept the fancy water holders full...]
As the bride and groom left [they met on BYU's dance team] there was bubble wrap from the gate to their car and as they ran down it people along the sides started jumping on it after them and it was better than a standing ovation !!! Nice and loud. It was soooooo fun and dadu even danced a dance with me !!

desk cleaning editorials

I rediscovered a paragraph I wrote down from a book..."Feeling Good" by David Burns
What is the key to releasing yourself from your emotional prison ? Simply this; Your thoughts create your emotions; therefore; your emotions cannot prove that your thoughts are accurate. Unpleasant feelings merely indicate that you are thinking something negative and believing it. Your emotions follow your thoughts.

I have just finished my 50th endowment this year.

Business Travel

So my work week started Monday like most people. At 6:00 am I drove out of the Escondido PO parking lot asn headed north, destinantion Sacramento. Now you might think, why would you want to drive to Sacramento when it is easier to fly there? Well I am leading an audit team that is tasked with auditing electrical work plans in Redding, Stockton, Modesto, Fresno, and Bakersfield. It was way easier going to Scaramento by car and then driving down the central valley auditing as I went. Today I am in Fresno, tomorrow I audit Bakersfield and then I'm homeward bound.
