lightning, thunder, rain ...

It has been so cool today..lots of awesome thunder, lightning and rain ...almost as good as Utah....we don't have the cool mts. to back up to...but it did a wonderful job [ for me of course] and is still raining now...and is still in the 70 degrees so the windows are open! I goofed off today...I took dadu to work so I could have the car and hit lots of stores..got a flag holder, some clothes for dadu and I . Some grandchildren stuff [of course] some plants on clearance for the 4 cool barrels I picked up at Pier 1...they're display barrels they were selling off for only $5 each...I got 4 diff. sizes.. I need something interesting in my dirt front yard.

Dadu's birthday present

It is not every middle age man that likes a Dick and Jane quilt and two framed Dick and Jane pictures for his birthday !! Thanks to Sandy's fabric donations....he is very happy.

FRIENDS

It was fun Friday going to a sealing in the San Diego Temple for a young gal from our old ward. They had a reception in San Clemente that evening so we got to see more old ward members..that was more fun ! The next night we had our current ward temple night..with a chapel session in the SDT and 70 people were there for that..it was awesome. We had an ice cream party afterward at the 1st counselor's home..it was fun ...didn't get home till about 11:00 p.m...and dadu has to leave at 5:30 a.m. for bishopric mtg..Sun. mornings...some high priests sleep for a reason in Sac. mtg. !!

home from Utah ...AGAIN...

Dadu and I just got home from a four day trip to Utah for the baptism of our eldest grandson. It was very nice even if I had to play the piano for it....rather rusty there... It was great seeing our children, their spouses and grandchildren and some other relatives and friends while there ! A nephew attending BYU even came..he is only home from his mission in Seattle a few weeks..[.my youngest brother's second eldest son.] Now we just have to find out why the check engine light is on in the car.!
