Saturday J and I did the yard work and then we went to Lowe's for gardening supplies, a new spring for the weedeater, and two new sprinklers. We came home and finished preparing the garden area outside the back door where we have been growing our tomatoes. We built a box and added a 12 inch chicken skirt around the inside to try to keep our gopher and mole out it.

We added the six tomato palnts and marigolds and we had a garden.
Below are some candid shots of us at home after Church on Sunday.
J , A and M were playing with Legos. Dampa was searching the internet for instructions for several of the Lego sets for which there were none. He found quite a few and printed them for J after putting them into powerpoint to save paper.

A is always cooking something up. This morning it was coffee cake from a recipe she found on-line.
Namma was playing the piano just before she and Dampa went to choir practice.

Namma is having lots of 'fun ' going to doctors this year. This is the result of the cream she is putting on her face to get rid of skin cancer.
All that, and she can still smile.
We had fun with S, L and D staying with for the weekend. Next week's its out of town to San Diego for work and then we get a visit from S, A, M & J if plans don't change too much.

Adventures of a real grandma

I again have time to look at the computer..My deepest empathy to all young mothers out there...You get kids while young for a good reason...you can keep up with them better than grandmas can !! I have had my 3 year old grandson L. with us for a week..then his mom and little brother flew in Thursday and we had D. too while mom was at work...let me tell you that a 1,2 and 3 year old in the house with their moms and a dad and grandpa and I is a ZOO !!! I took our daughter S. with L. and D. to the airport this morning to fly back to Sacramento...it was a nice visit for sure but..WOW I am getting old.
In the middle of it all I had a stress test .........luckily the doctor was real late and I enjoyed just sitting there waiting for him !! I de-stressed a lot during the wait !! I have my dad's great heart !!! I also have his skin cancer on my face...like a dozen places...I look like Halloween... and stomach issues...aren't genetics, grand !! I got an upper GI which discovered beside the polyp game..that I have no lining left on my esophagus..isn't life fun !! WARNING TO ALL OF YOU...DO NOT AGE !!! I REPEAT ... DO NOT AGE !!!
We did have fun visiting two even older grandmas while S. was here !! { ADVISE..... Visit Eddie and Sandy at meal time...they feed you good !!!}

moving in day for A. J and M.

This is what I had to do to most of my rolling chairs ...so M. doesn't kill herself...little people expect them to work like stationary chairs...and they don't at all !! M. has adjusted beautifully..and fast !!!

Thanks to the elders in our ward and to Ed for helping J. unload a big truck and finish filling up our garage..and two rooms and the dining area of the kitchen...Ed reminded me ...too late... to take some photos..so I did...at the end..but hey, it is better than nothing ...and Ed, you get more gold stars on that heavenly chart !!! Thanks !! No, Really !!!

Yesterday we moved the Jukebox into B.'s office closet...now the green room is empty except for my sewing desk...we did a lot of yard work since it was such an awesome day !!! We took one line off the clothesline and drilled the hole bigger, put an eye bolt through it and hung a tire swing for M. who is moving here next weekend...it is a cute little electric cart wheel and chain looped through it ; with a screw on link to hold it to the eye bolt...cute..I also wired the slide to a pole on the patio because it is getting wobbly..but it sure works good with a little furniture polish !!! [ I drilled a drain hole in the tire too .]We got 6 bags of fertilizer for garden spots but have not cleared out the spots yet...though I have tomato seeds in pots out there thinking about growing I hope !! We hit Chipotle for dinner...I love their food !!!

Let me tell you about today..since not much goes on here anyway...
At 8 a.m. two sisters in the ward came over and we got in my car and picked up another sister and went to Colton to the homecraft center...\From 8:45 until 12:oo a.m. we tied quilts, bound quilts and sorted fabric and wrapped fabric for sell at D.I....then we did the get home game ..........next, I went to buy some groceries......then had a Dr. appt. at 2:00...he said stomach and duodenal cancer are rare...like only 6 to 7% of cancer is there...since grandma, aunt and dad all died of it ,our genes have issues...... so they think I need an upper G I test just to check out that world...then, I drove to my mom's house to take her some fleece sheets and a fleece blanket. She says she had no idea old people got so cold !!! Then, I came home and got here the same time dadu got home from work..I made corned beef and cabbage for dinner [and my mom's cinnamon rolls she gave me when I was there...YUM.].. and watched Hogan's Heroes on TV and am pre-shrinking some fabric I picked up this morning...homecraft volunteers can buy what they want and at 10% off...and they sell the fabric for 50 cents a yard..HELLO...us addicts have to get some !!! Now I am vegging and blogging and whatever else sounds good !!! So, HI out there ,blogging can happen on normal old days !!!
