And that's the way it was July 7, 2009...

Today my honey and I went off on a roadtrip to Salt Lake City. Actually we started by going to the Oquirrh Mountain Temple open house. Very nice temple, great spirit. We really liked the surrounding community. Mom says to buy her a house there.

Then we drove to the Jordan River Temple and did a session there. From there we went to NPS, a great store of whatever they happen to get from closeouts, bankruptcies, insurance losses, etc. Bought health care products, a huge (10000 yds) cone of thread, office supplies, a book, toys, and food. We ate some really good bread we got there, as well as a banana and apple, for our lunch.

Then on we went to Church Distribution. Our goal was to get a scripture quad for H because she will be baptized a member of the Church on Saturday. Found it, bought it, had it engraved. (This is our tradition for our grandchildren. Keep that in mind) We bought some other items also.

Then we went to the Taylorsville Deseret Industries. Mom bought a pair of pants, some dancing shoes, seven plates, a bunch of patterns. I bought four books (surprise!).

Then we stopped at Taco Bell for dinner. Then drove back to N's house.

IT WAS AN AWESOME DAY!!! We had a great time!

Mom is now planning the bookcase for N's office.

And that's the way it is and was today, July 7, 2009.

How fabulous Dad! I am glad you and Mom had a lovely day and accomplished so much! That is super wonderful. I hope you are having fun and enjoying all the quality time with MORE grandchildren.

Try doing that in "L.A."

no temples within a 150 mile radius
only 90 miles one-way to nearest big city.

But you can fish!

How wonderful to hear what and how you're doing!
Maddie says Namma and Boppa need to come back.
I found a zucchini about 6 inches smaller than the baby on Sunday. I should probably go check the garden again. . .
